The Little Professors Learning Centre has been appointed to operate the Student Care Centre in Punggol View Primary School. The Little Professors Learning Centre has been providing educational services to thousands of students since 2005. We aim to help your child reach his/her maximum potential and develop his/her talents to the fullest in an environment that promotes self-discipline, character development and excellence in learning.

The success of your child’s learning experience depends greatly on the integration of the home’s, school’s and centre’s efforts. We look forward to a fruitful partnership with all stakeholders.

Little Professors Learning Centre is focused on a common objective of providing an environment of love, care and trust to promote holistic development of every child under our Student Care in Punggol view Primary School. Little Professors offers a nurturing and structured after-school care during school term and full day care during school holidays. Under the guidance and supervision of trained and caring staff, pupils will engage in enrichment activities such as outdoor activities, character development, craft work, Creative English and Experiential learning in Mathematics activities, apart from homework supervision. We are proud to be a Student Care Centre that focuses on the character development of the child and being the few Student Care Centres in Singapore to provide NEA licenced catered meals in accordance to Healthy Meals in Schools Programme (HMSP).

Little Professors Learning Centre takes a keen interest in the health and eating habits of our students. You may be delighted to know that we have implemented key components of the Healthy Meals in Schools Programme (HMSP). We have worked with our food supplier to ensure the following:

  1. Food in the 4 food groups:
    1. brown rice & wholemeal bread
    2. fruit
    3. vegetables
    4. meat & others shall be made available in main meals.
  2. Vegetables and fruit shall be served in the following amounts:
    1. Vegetables: At least 2 heaped dessert spoons
    2. Fruit: At least ½ serving. Examples of ½ serving of fruit are ½ small apple and ½ wedge of watermelon.
  3. Use lean meat when preparing food.
  4. Using less oil and salt in the preparation of food.
  5. Wholemeal bread (in addition to cakes & biscuits) to be made available at all Afternoon Teabreak to encourage healthy eating, and not selective consumption of cakes & biscuits.

Please also be informed that during Student Care Hours, students will not be able to purchase flavoured drinks from the canteen vendors. They should have their water bottles with them, and top up their drinking water from the water coolers located in the canteen (This is another key component of HMSP)Healthy eating habits start from young and from home.

We hope parents will continue to work with us to educate their child on healthy eating and having more vegetables and fruits.

Thank you.
